Radburn Educational Seminar

Silver Ridge Park Westerly Clubhouse
Thursday, October 7, 2021 • 7 pm
THE SEMINAR IS FREE AND OPEN TO ALL HOMEOWNERS
RESIDING IN OUR WESTERLY COMMUNITY

Our Attorney Paul Leodori, will present an educational seminar on how the “New Jersey Administrative Code Title 5, chapters 8.1 thru 8.14” better known as the “Radburn Law”.

This administrative code has been in effect since 2017. The regulations contained in the administrative code require us to follow the “New Jersey Administrative Code Title 5, chapters 8.1 thru 8.14”. The administrative code in many cases overrides our Covenant’s & Restrictions as well as our Bylaws. If the associations are found to be non-compliant the Division of Community Affairs (DCA) was given the power to levy fines against associations and appoint monitors to assure that the associations are following the Administrative Code to the letter of the law.

If you look back over the past two years you can already see how this legislation has impacted our community. No longer do you need to reside in the community for two years to run for elected office, you can move in today and run for office tomorrow. Our elections are now done by mail, the call for nominations is done by mail as is the casting of ballots for trustees. The counting of the ballots must occur publicly (in front of the homeowners to witness the count).
As you can see, there are just a few of the items contained in the Administrative Code. Please mark your calendars and join us for this very important informative seminar. Refreshments will be served.
