From the Desk of the President - October 2019

DUES – We are now in the fourth quarter of the year.  If you have not paid your dues, please make the final payment for the year.

I am looking for volunteers to assist the elderly in our community.  We would like to build a group that can assist these seniors maintain their property.  The task would be available to cut their lawn or a minor clean-up of the property.  If interested, please call the clubhouse, (732) 244-1484, and give us your name and telephone number so that when the need arises we can call and arrange FOR THE CLEAN-UP.  Also, please remember that we have a food bank in our association.  If you can spare non-perishable food such as canned food or boxed food, bring the items to the clubhouse in bags or boxes so that we can have the woman that takes care of it supply these foods to our needy.  It will be much appreciated.

Flu shots will be administered by the Ocean County Health Department on Friday, October 18, 2019, in the upper level of the Clubhouse between 10 am and 12 noon.

We have arraigned for the senior tax group that helps prepare taxes for us seniors to come to our clubhouse this year.  The dates will be February 4, 2020 to April 14, 2020.  Hours will be 9 am to 3 pm.  Tuesdays only.

Thanks to Paula Dannucci and the Rec group and all other volunteers that gave us a great evening out for the picnic/party on September 14th.  The weather held out and the food was abundant and good.

It has been brought to our attention that the township will no longer cut down trees that are 10 (ten) feet or less from the curb.  It is the homeowner’s responsibility to take care of these trees.  They will only assist if there is an emergency with the tree.

VOLUNTEERS – DON’T FORGET TO REGISTER FOR THE Volunteer party on October 13, 2019.  See Paula at the Clubhouse on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the use to register.  Times are 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

The revised BY-LAWS were approved on September 7, 2019 with 247 members voting YES and 13 members voting NO; these by-laws are now part of our governing documents.  There were not sufficient votes received to determine approval of the revised Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions which require two-thirds of our membership for approval.  We have, therefore, continued the special meeting of September 7, 2019 to Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 11 AM to 12 Noon for continued voting on the issue.  New ballots for the revised Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions will be sent ONLY to homeowners who did not participate at the prior election meeting.  I urge all members who did not previously vote to do so on October 26, 2019
