Nov 2021

Editor's Note - November 2021

It’s that time of the year again when the leaves turn colors and the weather gets cool. During the next two months there will be plenty of events for you to attend at the clubhouse. If you look through the Sentinel, you will see that you have many events to choose from.
November has always been a month to count our blessing and be grateful for our friends and family. During the next few months, the holidays will be upon us. This is the time where we need to keep an eye out on our neighbors. If you know someone who is alone for the holidays, make their holiday special by bringing them over a dish of food and/or your favorite dessert. Believe me, it will mean more to them than you can ever realize.
Fall marks the end of Daylight Savings Time. Don't forget to turn back your clocks one hour and remember to change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
The deadline to send me your information is November 12th for the December issue. There are going to be lots of events, so please take a few moments to take pictures and send them to me to share with those who weren’t able to attend. But most importantly, it is essential that you send me your information on or before the deadline to ensure that your flyers and pictures can be displayed in the Sentinel.
For the December issue, I’m hoping that you will reach out and send me some of your family recipes to share. Come on, don’t be shy. I know you are home making some awesome Christmas crafts. Snap a picture and send them to me.
All correspondences are to be sent in a word document and pictures sent as a jpg. If you don’t have a word program, then type your information in an email and send it to me at:
Have a great month and most importantly, don’t forget to check on your neighbor!
I will be at Plaza One Mini Mall Flea Market, located at 730 Jamaica Boulevard on November 17th and December 3rd, 15th and 18th reading, and displaying my books. If you're around, stop by and say hello.
