Editor's Note - August 2021

Happy August! I made it through my first issue of The Sentinel. Yes, it was the same generic issue, but this month things are finally getting back to normal.  I ask that the clubs send us their news, upcoming meetings and plenty of pictures when you have a party and event. There are a wide variety of clubs out there and residents wanting to hear about what you have planned. Drop me a line and let me know what you are up to so I can pass it on. Wouldn’t it be awesome to have a clubhouse full of residents, enjoying one of the many activities that are available to them?

Please send all articles to: srpwsentinel@gmail.com  I will acknowledge each email that I receive.

I have so many ideas for the upcoming issues, but I need your help.  I’d like to showcase our residents’ talent. Do you make or flip furniture? Or maybe you love knitting and/or crocheting.  I see so many beautiful garden displays as I walk around that are phenomenal. Take a picture and send it to me. Share your special talent with other residents in our community. Moving forward I’d like to have a pet showcase page, a recipe corner and for your poets out there, we’d love to read your muse.

Also if you have any news to share, a new grandchild, wedding anniversary, birthday, etc. send it too. I’d like to really expand the Sentinel but I need your help. If you have any questions or concerns you can email me or call. I’m open to suggestions on how to make The Sentinel be your go to magazine.

The deadline to send us your information is August 13th for the September issue and September 10th for the October issue. Any emails received after the deadline date will go into the following month. Make sure you send us your information well in advance.

The Sentinel belongs to our community. So this is your time to share. I’m only an email away. Stay safe and look out for your neighbor during these hot months.
