ABOUT CLUB

SEPTEMBER 2022 UPDATE

Vivian Evanchik

Dear Officers, Trustees, and Friendship Circle Friends,

I want to express my sincere thanks for the lovely party you gave me. Friendship and happiness were given to me at a time I needed it most. THANK YOU.

The room was filled with vases of flowers and the food was delicious, my favorites, Italian and Chinese! The cake was yummy and again my favorite, chocolate! I was touched that my favorites were remembered.

The sentiments on the cards have special meaning to me. The magnificent bouquet of flowers, again in my favorite flower colors, is the best one I have ever received! I love my soft cuddly throw blanket with its touching saying on it. Needless to say, this day will be one of the most memorable days of my life. Thank you again for all who attended and a special thank you to all those who were responsible for making this day an unforgettable one for me.

I was truly surprised and touched by the plaque that was presented to me at the HOA meeting. The Head Start Children will always have a special place in my heart and I will try to keep in touch with them in different ways.

Thank you for your recognition and support.

With love and gratitude,
Vivian

AUGUST 2022 UPDATE

Dear friends & Supporters of SRPW Friendship Circle,

Upon moving to SRPW in 1997, I was pleased to learn about the Friendship Circle. As a recently retired Kindergarten teacher, I was delighted to learn that one of the projects the Friendship Circle did was to give the Berkeley Township Head Start children a Christmas Party. This was for me, so I volunteered to help. Charlotte was the chairperson for the event.

In 1999, Charlotte was moving and Anne Wolff, SRPW Association President, at the time asked me to take over. I promised Anne that I would continue to have the party as long as I was physically able to do this wonderful worthwhile project.

Now at 80 years old, with a very heavy heart, I find I must step down because I no longer can do this project in the manner I would like.

It is my hope that someone in our community will step forward and take over so the children will still be able to enjoy it. I am willing to help with this transition and turn over all the materials I have accumulated throughout the years. I still plan on attending meetings when I can and volunteer to help when needed.

I want to thank the current officers and former officers of the Association for their help and support. I am most grateful to all the volunteers who have helped me in so many capacities. Some residents may not realize what goes on behind the scenes, but I am indebted to our custodians present and past. I would not have been able to do this project without them. Lastly, I want to thank my Co-Chairperson, Donna Wacha for all her help.

Thanks to all!
Fondly, Vivian
