A Message from Your President - July 2021

I want to take a moment to thank all the candidates who stepped up to run for the available Trustee seats and a special congratulation to the candidates
who won the three available seats.
I would also like to express my gratitude to all our members for their patience since March of 2020 concerning the closure of our clubhouse and its amenities, but now it’s time to open up and for all of us to return to our normal activities.  The opening of our facility on July 4th is exciting.  It will be great to see everyone using the facilities once again and the social activities ramping up. The clubs will be back on Fridays, starting July 9th (from 9:30 am to 11:00 am) for memberships and ticket sales in Building C.  To kick things off, the association will be having a tailgating event in the south parking lot (by the tennis and bocce courts) on July 4th starting at 3:00 pm.  There will be a DJ – all you need to do is show up, bring some food for yourself (or to share) and prepare to have fun with friends we haven’t seen for a while.  While you’re there, make sure you take a walk through the clubhouse buildings and see the facelift that took place while we were shut down.  We think you will like the appearance of your clubhouse.
We were recently advised by The Ocean County Health Department that they initiated a program for those individuals who would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and are either homebound patients or know someone who is homebound. They are currently offering the J&J Vaccine (as it is a single dose vaccine) for those homebound individuals who live in Ocean County.  If you are interested in reserving a homebound visit to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, you or your representative can make that request by calling 732-341-9700 ext. 7304 to make those arrangements. This is an especially important effort on the part of the Ocean County Health Department, as most individuals that have yet to be vaccinated are over the age of 80 and many of those same individuals are homebound. So, if this is your situation or you know of someone and they want to be vaccinated, please take advantage of this offer.  I also want to thank The Ocean County Health Dept for holding an inhouse clinic for the COVID-19 vaccine at our auditorium on June 28th.  They were able to offer single and double dose vaccines for those residents who had not been vaccinated on a walk-in basis.
I will end my message this month with the following quote which I believe is appropriate for the month of July and especially July 4th – “When we honor our flag, we honor what we stand for as a nation – Freedom, Equality, Justice and Hope” President Ronald Reagan. God bless our great nation, its citizens and the men and women who have given of themselves to protect our way of life.
I look forward to seeing everyone again and to have our clubhouse return to normal.  Until then, please stay safe and healthy.
My best to everyone,
Mike Signorile
