The Crafts Club meets on Tuesdays from 10 am to 12 noon in Room 1.
Anyone who crochets, knits or embroiders is welcome to come.  There are no dues.

If you would like to learn how to do any needlecraft, we can hopefully help you learn. You can do a personal project or do something to donate.  Some of our members make afghans that are donated to the service members and baby items that are also donated.  So stop in to meet us!

Once again, the needlecraft group has been busy.
Recently we gave about 15 afghans to the RWJ Childrens Specialized Hospital in Toms River. The usual hats were given to the Ocean County Health Department to be distributed to the children that come into the clinics for services.

I’m not sure about the others, but I have been making hats throughout the year. I was getting tired of looking at hats, because in addition to the health department I made quite a few for other charities also. Right now, I can say my house is “hat free”, but that will change soon because it is a great way to use up leftover yarns from afghans. We also had hats for the newborns at Community Medical Center and baby items for Birth Right. And we frequently make afghans and lap robes for a local hospice facility; they especially like red, white, and blue items to give to the veterans. We are a very small group and hope that seeing articles like this will inspire a few more of you to join our Tuesday morning group. We meet in Room 1 from 10AM to 12PM
