The next meeting of Silver/Holiday V.F.W. Post 10185 will be held on Thursday, November 19th is at 1:00 pm at Silver Ridge Park West Clubhouse, 145 Westbrook Drive, Silver Ridge. We hold our meetings on the third Thursday of every month. We meet in the day time so you don't have to worry about driving at night. To join our post, just bring a copy of your Discharge (DD-214) to the meeting and you will be signed up right away. You will receive a hardy welcome and refreshments before the meeting. You will get a chance to socialize with Fellow Veterans and make new friends.
If you need a ride to the meeting or want more information call Commander Gerald LaRocque at 732-503-4875. You'll be glad you did.
On Tuesday, November 17th at 7:00 pm V.F.W. Post 10185's Commander Gerald LaRoque and his staff will attend V.F.W. District 12's meeting at V.F.W. Post 9503 at 383 Veterans Blvd., Bayville, where the latest V.F.W. programs and events will be discussed and the Teachers, Patriots Pen & V.O.D. Winners names will be turned in.
On Thursday, November 19th at 12:00 noon the Executive Board of V.F.W. Post 10185 will meet before the regular post meeting at Silver Ridge Park West Clubhouse, 145 Westbrook Dr., Silver Ridge.
Thursday, November 26th is Thanksgiving Day. Let's all remember to give thanks for all we have received.

Highlights for December
December 6th - V.F.W. Post 10185’s Commander Gerald LaRoque, the Color Guard, Post Members and their wives will hold a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Ceremony at 1:00 pm at Silver Ridge Park West Clubhouse. All Veterans organizations and the public are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served after the ceremony.
December 7th - Hanukah begins
December 17th at 12:00 noon the Executive Board of V.F.W. Post 10185 will meet before the regular post meetings at Silver Ridge Park West Clubhouse, 145 Westbrook Drive, Silver Ridge.
There will not be any V.F.W District meeting in December, but the Fire Fighter, Police Officer and EMT winners’ names will be turned in.
December 20 winter begins. Get our your warm clothing and snow boots.
The month of December is a time for happiness and gift giving. V.F.W. Post 10185 has made donations to the following: The Toms River Slavations Army $100.00, the U.S.O. $100.00, The Vets Works $200.00, The Ocean & Monmouth Food Bank $100.00, The V.F.W. District 12’s Relief Fund $200.00, H.C. Berkeley First Aid Squad $200.00, The V.F.W. District 12’s Relief Fund $200.00, The V.F.W. Natio0nal HOme For Children $100.00 and others. V.F.W Post 10185 is generous and civic minded to worthy causes.
December 25th is Christmas Day
December 31st is New Year’s Eve. It’s time to make your New Year’s Resolutions.
