We were informed that Robo-cans will be going out now at the end of June and will be going out by section.
Please keep in mind that there are approximately 28,000 cans that will go out for distribution. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we implement this new process.
The Fourth of July is more than fireworks and parades. As we gather with our family and friends, let us reflect on the ideals that unite us. Our freedom, democracy, justice, and opportunity. Many military service men and women have given their lives for our freedom.
Two hundred and forty-nine years ago, on July 4, 1776, a group of visionaries gathered in Philadelphia to sign a document that would forever change the course of history, the Declaration of Independence. With courage and conviction, they declared that all people are created equal, and that governments derive their power from the consent of the governed.
In the words of President Ronald Reagan, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”
Let us be the stewards of that freedom.
As the days grow longer and the warmth of summer settles in, I want to take a moment to wish each one of you a safe, joyful and memorable season.
Summer is a time to enjoy our beautiful parks, gather with friends and family, and take part in the many community events and activities that make our town so special. Whether you're heading out on vacation, relaxing at home, or exploring everything our community has to offer, I encourage you to make the most of these bright and sunny days.
Let’s also remember to stay safe, whether that means watching out for each other during the heat, driving carefully as more people are out and about, or simply lending a hand to a neighbor.
Thank you for being part of what makes our community strong. I look forward to seeing many of you at upcoming summer events and celebrations.
Sincerely,
John A. Bacchione Mayor Berkeley Township
