From the Desk of the President

Welcome to Fall. It’s official, Fall is here. Make sure your heating systems are ready to keep you warm if the need arises.

Volunteer Party Notice: For those of you who take the time out to volunteer for the Association, October 21st is the date. This our way to thank all volunteers for their time and also for saving the Association money rather than hire outsiders. Tickets are available Monday to Friday. Call the office for more info or better yet stop in and see us.

Scouting for Food will take place Saturday, October 13th and 20th, 9a.m. till 12 noon. The event will take place in our clubhouse parking lot. This is a good cause which helps supply people who cannot afford a decent meal to get food for their table.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The upper level of our clubhouse will be closed Monday October 22nd through Thursday October 25th. The main room will be getting painted. Please be patient. The Board is trying to make our Clubhouse look better. It’s been long overdue.

Flu Shots will be administered by the Ocean County Board of Health at our Clubhouse on Friday, October 26, 2018, from 10:00 AM through 12 Noon. Pneumonia vaccinations will also be available.

NOW – LET’S TALK REALITY! We have homeowners who pay their dues in a timely manner and we also have homeowners who do not pay in a timely manner. First – paying your dues at the end of the year is not good! You cannot wait and pay your taxes at the end of the year. The town would not be able to pay their bills in a timely manner. We are no different. The Association has to pay their bills on a MONTHLY schedule, not a yearly schedule. Second, we have members that feel they do not have to pay their dues thus putting the burden on the good payors. This is not fair to those good payors and also creates a problem for the Association. We cannot pay our electric or gas bills on a yearly schedule. Third, there are the “I forgot to pay or I will not pay." Under our current by-laws, if dues for the current year are not paid by the end of January of the next year, the Board will then turn these non/late payors over to our Association attorney. It’s time to get caught up and start paying YOUR dues.
