Shareowners' Meeting Minutes - March 6th

 
The meeting was called to order at 1:00pm by the secretary. This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance with a moment of silence for our men and women in the Armed Services. A prayer was then read.
All directors were present for this meeting with the exception of Barbara Benson and Terry Ristaino. 
There were 93 residents in attendance. The kitchen volunteers were thanked.
A motion was made and seconded to forego the reading of January’s meeting. Meeting minutes are printed separately in the paper. 
 
Committee Reports 
 
Sally Nielsen: The Dance Committee will be having a Spring Fling Dance April 27th, in Clubhouse #2 from 6:00-10:00pm. It will be a Chinese buffet. Price of ticket is $25.00.
 
Susan DeMaria: The Day Planners will be having a trip March 26th to Museum and Arcade. Flyers for upcoming trips are posted on the bulletin boards. Sunday March 10th in Clubhouse #1 will be game day. Different games will be played. 
 
Larry Fox: Veterans and Friends and Bocci Veterans and friends will be having a concert May 18th in Clubhouse #2. Tickets are $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door. Bring your own snacks. There will be a meeting March 14th at 12:30pm in Clubhouse #2. He thanked the fishing club for their donation. Proceeds from all affairs go to the local veterans. 
 
Bocci final registration will be Tuesday March 12th, at 4:00pm. The registration fee is $7.00 for the year. Play schedules will be given out. 
 
Barbara Egner: The Holly Twigs are having their annul Strawberry Festival on June 12th. Tickets are $6.00. All the proceeds are given to the hospital to purchase items for the patients. 
 
Directors Reports
 
Mario Pettineo: the grass cutting will start sometime in April. The schedule will be printed in the paper. 
 
Beverly Greco gave the housing report. The president’s report, housing report and maintenance reports will be printed separately in the paper.
Henry Reinhart: balance of accounts as of February 28, 2019. General account $799,159.43, payroll account $28,248.52, capital improvement $632,161.19.
 
John McGuinness asked if anyone knows of someone being sent overseas to get in touch with the Veterans and friends, and they will send out packages. He then mentioned the parking lots need paving and bids have been sent out and the board will meet with 3 contractors and then the decision will be made on who will be hired. He received 39 requests for modifications and they have been answered. 
 
Barbara Egner: Clubhouse #2 will be painted starting sometime in April. Bids were received and then a vote was taken to go with CertaPro. The rental parking lot will not be done. The president’s complete report will be printed separately in the paper, as well as the pools opening and closing dates. She will be doing the paper in Barbara Benson’s absence. 
 
Old Business
 
Ronnie Smith and Judy Gass asked what was being done regarding the house on Biabou Drive. They were told that a stop construction order has been issued and it is now in the hands of the board’s corporation lawyer and their lawyer. 
 
New Business
 
Ninetta Nappi asked what could be done about the debris and plastic containers in the stream and what could be done to have it removed. John told her if the office is notified of problem it will be looked into. 
 
Jim Simone asked if Holiday City would be getting Robo Cans. Mayor Amato had put a form in the paper asking who would want robo cans. The communities voted not to have robo cans. At a meeting October 9th, in clubhouse Mayor Amato will be there and he will take questions. This was followed by a short question and answer period robo cans and what they could be used for. 
 
Tickets for all affairs can be purchased the first and third Tuesday of the month in Clubhouse #1 from 11:00 to 12:00pm.
 
A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 1:50pm.
