A Message from Councilwoman Sophia Gingrich - March 2021

March birthstone symbol is – Aquamarine,  This is the traditional birthstone  for those born in March, a symbol of youth, health and hope.  March has a second birthstone, the Bloodstone this ancient stone was believed to have healing powers — especially for blood disorders.   March is considered the beginning of Spring.

The birth flower for March is  the Daffodil,  it is synonymous with Spring as it is the epitome of rebirth and new beginnings. When we see the Daffodil, we know the nice weather is just around the corner.

Spring, Rebirth, Domestic Happiness, Respect, Regard and Friendship.

Daffodils
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.”
